Portland Fashion Week...
October 7-11th, was Portland Fashion Week. Wednesday, was the first night of the show and I had the privilege of attending. First of all, let me start by telling you where the show was located. I would have never guessed it would be held in such an unglamorous location had I not attended myself. The show took place in a giant warehouse at Cascade General - the giant, dark, and mysterious shipyard on the tip of Swan Island, in Portland. After undergoing what I would believe to be a MAJOR transformation the show was all around, quite impressive! Many of the designers featured in the show were local to Oregon, with a good handful of them from Portland; all showcasing a huge range of talent and taste. The styles featured in the show ranged from classic sophistication, to urban, dark and edgy. All collections were showcasing their lines for spring/summer 2010. Tara, was one of the models featured that night. She spends a lot of time modeling professionally for Amazon.com, but has been so generous to not only model but also help organize both of the fashion shows we've hosted so far at Felicity!
