Holiday Fabulousness w/ Red Pearl Designs!!

My friend Megan is the mastermind behind Red Pearl Designs. Last week she showed me a few samples of these oh-so-fabulous die-cut Christmas cards! Go Team - Operation Bra Drop & Give a Shirt!

Last Friday afternoon, I had the privilege of teaming up with I Give A Shirt for their event for local homeless students in the Salem/Keizer school districts. Because "Operation Bra Drop" has received so many fantastic bras, I was able to set up a "Bra Boutique" for the female students that attended this event! We had bras in practically every size, so the students that came were able to get properly fitted and sized into a few bras of their choice! I was blessed to be a part of this event and was able to fit one of the girls into her first real bra ever! She even wanted to wear one of the new bras out! I know we're making a difference in these lovely ladies' lives. Thank you for making this possible!

We will do this event again in January :)

Bras to Haiti - June trip!

Operation Bra Drop: Ghana!

Marilyn - with the Yakote Women Farmers Project - just picked up 4 giant bags of bras to take with her to Ghana, Africa in November! This picture shows some of the women farmers who benefit from this project and who will be receiving bras from Operation Bra Drop! Thank you Marilyn!

The Yakote Women Farmers Association is made up of approximately 150 women who live in and near the village of Yakote in the far northeastern corner of Ghana. It was formed in 2000 with the U.S. nonprofit formed in 2006 with the goal of supporting rural village economic development through grants and micro loans to improve agricultural productivity, business training, family health and nutrition, increased educational opportunities, and improved sanitation facilities. This is accomplished through empowerment of women who wish to operate small, agricultural-based businesses, which in turn provides extra income to support their families.
